List of Contributing Artists

One month before, clues dropped and curiosity was aroused - eager attendees began solving riddles and searching for hidden treasures all around town. Each key found doubled as a ticket to entry and a crucial piece of the final puzzle, collectively solved under the light of the full moon at midnight. This event brought together over 25 local artists - live painters, sculptors, fire spinners, character actors, dream constellators, tarot readers, installation artists, virtual reality and interactive projection mapping. Atendees showed up in costume and BROUGHT THEIR OWN CUPS - my favorite party initiatve of all time<3 As a result we produced less than one bag of trash from a 200 person event, fuck yeah.

EL BOSQUE ESCONDIDO

Creative Directon & Stage Design / Tepoztlán, 2022

Collaboration with Brian Dean and Felipe Gandara

This event brought together a collection of local artists - DJs, aerial performers, highline acrobats, fire spinners, and gallery painters. There was a giant blank canvas and guests created a collective mural. We enjoyed locally produced beer, mezcal, and pulque, as well as tacos veganos a la canasta - que rico!

The stage was built with a wooden frame and bamboo exterior, LED outline and custom DJ table. Two geomentric tree platforms, also made from bamboo, allowed for elevated dancing, lounging, and overhead highline access.

The end of the Greenhouse Party Era.

What a DOOZY! Enthusiasm allll around, we had a night full of shiny spandex and high-flying foes. Dale went full MC with an incredible stretch on the mic, Meaghan was de-masked and the shame will forever haunt her. Our tiny home stadium stood the test of many erratic dance moves and several leaping luchadores. Eliana NAILED the playlist (as always) and we all reveled in the glory of her cumbia roots. Kim the pro-wrestler came through with hilarious tutorials on how to fight, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON wore a costume!! I will never forget this night!

As per Greenhouse Standard, all deco was reused/repurposed/restyled/upcycled from parties past, thrift stores, or curbside. Kitchen Rainbow was hand cut by many pals into the delicate papel picado which hung overhead. We went jamón on the string lights (combining personal collections with desert party collections and supplementing with friend loans), of course the og Deep Sea blossoms came out to play. Dale stumbled upon the good fortune of an XXL printer for those AMAZING old school lucha posters, which proudly hang in various homes to this day. The stadium was made from scrap 3form panels (sick) and I’m pretty sure the adhesive was the only thing we bought in prep for this party? Ahh we also splurged on a piñata from the local Rancho Market, but didn’t have the heart to fill or destroy it, long live that party star! BYOCup is the greatest thing ever 100%

DALIEN SURPRISE

The Greenhouse SLC, 2018

Daley’s surprise birthday, an excuse to wear that silver fringe, wire doo-dad satelites suspending time and space.

THE RAINBOW RAINFOREST

The Greenhouse SLC, 2017

Such a fun month of daily party prep, everyone wrangled into creation ♥︎ I remember gluing gems onto fishing line (rainbow raindrops) while watching the snowy Wasatch wiz by on my commute from work #traincrafts. The power went out while Dale and I stapled paper trees to the walls and I felt so fucking jazzed to be dedicated and decorating in the dark. EPIC costume participation and I believe my intro to many of the friends who were to become Salt Mind. Once again, strong showing from the out-of-staters ♡

THE DEEP SEA DISCO

The Greenhouse SLC, 2015

The OG, unforgettable ‪‪♥︎ I had just moved to Salt Lake and it was going to be my birthday and I “had no friends yet” so I invited everyone from CO and they came! By the time the party rolled around I did actually have a bunch of new friends and we filled the house. A reputation was born…
